Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on this website. Continuing to browse means that you accept them. If you disagree with any condition, stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other FCRA-regulated decisions. It is a reference to Briscoe County and Texas record resources, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no tie to a government office. It neither stores official criminal files nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or files documents for a visitor.

Its role is to identify Briscoe County custodians, including the sheriff, courts, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and to link to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate. That rule applies fully to Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information. Registry data supports lawful public-safety awareness and does not authorize vigilantism or adverse decisions prohibited by law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produce no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Data from this website or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally permissible screening need requires an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or official process, not this website.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about Briscoe County records is not legal advice. A licensed Texas attorney should address how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule affects a particular matter.

6. No Warranties

All material is supplied "as is," without a promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, access restrictions, and expunction status can change. Gaps are unavoidable, and no website statement substitutes for confirmation by the originating court, sheriff, or Texas agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to government offices, courts, public legal resources, and private search providers. Those destinations are outside our control. Their content, privacy practices, prices, terms, and availability are their responsibility.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Briscoe County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative works requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from use of the site, its information, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, actions, and related costs, including reasonable legal fees, caused by your use or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of this website must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected term will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.
